JAQI BROWN

Jaqi brings thirty plus years of experience working in Te Hiku alongside whānau, takiwā and rōpū to improve outcomes for whānau. With a background in managing people and projects, Jaqi has worked in the education sector supporting whānau to better access services, served on school and kohanga reo committees. She has worked with Iwi on strategic, cultural and employment initiatives as well as being a community connector and planner, workplace trainer, project and business manager. She has been elected three times to community boards, is a qualified adult educator and social worker. Jaqi also writes children’s books, is a passionate Te Rarawa rugby club supporter, quizzer, gardener and mother to seven.
