Katie is a grandmother whose passion is to ensure that the world her mokopuna inherits is the best it can be. For over thirty years, Katie has worked in the social service sector and sees her time in Te Hiku Development Trust as an opportunity to contribute to the social development of whānau, hapū and iwi.
Katie has an absolute love and commitment to Te Ao Māori as well as making certain the future for our whānau, moko and people is better. Katie sees the Social Accord and Te Hiku Iwi Development Trust as being a part of that and relishes the opportunity to meet with Ministers to confirm the opportunities available for our people and to ensure Crown accountability.

Waitomo Papakainga Development Trust Kai Ārahi/CEO- Māori Reference Group (E Tū Whānau) Board Member
- Māori Design Group (Oranga Tamariki) Board Member
We are systems advocates and activists directly raising the whānau voice with agencies of the Crown in order to effect change.
